Here you will find the non-railroad scenery and points of interest photos we have taken so far on The Rails Across America 2 trip Nov 3-19, 2004. Unfortunately, The weather did not cooperate for decent postable pictures across West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kansas. The trip west begins at the bottom of the page and ends at the top.

Both sets of mountains were taken between Elko and Winnemucca

Utah
The Above 8 pictures were all
taken in Eastern Utah's Echo Canyon, the bottom 4 were taken from the westbound
Rest Stop, for the railfan, the bottom right picture would be an ideal location
for afternoon railfanning.

Wyoming Wildlife, We saw these animals (looks like Tule Elk) for most of Eastern Wyoming
Snow covered mountain at a rest stop just west of Laramie just after sunrise

The St Louis Arch
Knobnoster MO was a nostalgia stop For John, He was part of SAC and stationed at
Whiteman AFB during the Vietnam war. This house was where he lived.
