Nevada Railroading


On June 21, 2001, My family relocated to Carson City Nevada, Rather than dismantle Central California Rails, I opted to simply add a Nevada Railroading image page, this is the first one of what I hope are many more.

UP 4104 East at Lovelock NV, the snow like appearance is not snow, it is peoquop, which is Indian for Frozen Fog

These 4 pictures are of the daily run up to Parr Yard and Stead on the 2.5% grade Reno Branch.


These Four images were likely taken in Southern Nevada, they were sent to me over a year ago and I am unable to locate the photographer's Info.

SP 8261 has been the staple lead power for the Reno Branch, here they pass the 6th street team track.

Going East out of sparks, BNSF runs a local crewed by UP crews, the local works to Fernley as seen here.
